IGF-1 LR3 (Long R3 IGF-1) is a synthetic analog of insulin-like growth factor-1, modified to reduce binding by IGF-binding proteins and to substantially prolong its activity.
Mechanism of action. In research models, IGF-1 LR3 activates the IGF-1 receptor and downstream anabolic signaling (PI3K/Akt/mTOR), where it is studied for its effects on cell proliferation, differentiation, and protein synthesis.
Research applications. A common reference in cell-culture, anabolic-signaling, and growth-factor studies.
