CJC-1295 with DAC is a synthetic GHRH analog carrying a Drug Affinity Complex (DAC) that binds serum albumin to extend its circulating half-life.
Mechanism of action. Like other GHRH analogs, it engages pituitary GHRH receptors to stimulate growth-hormone release; the DAC modification is studied for producing a sustained elevation of growth hormone and IGF-1 in research models, in contrast to the short action of unmodified GHRH.
Research applications. Used as a long-acting GHRH reference in growth-hormone-axis and IGF-1 signaling studies.
