Sermorelin (CAS 86168-78-7) is a synthetic analog of the first 29 amino acids of growth-hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH 1-29), the bioactive core of the native hormone.
Mechanism of action. In research models, sermorelin binds pituitary GHRH receptors to stimulate the synthesis and pulsatile secretion of endogenous growth hormone, preserving physiological feedback regulation.
Research applications. A classic GHRH-analog reference in growth-hormone-axis, aging, and somatotroph-function studies.
