KPV is a synthetic tripeptide (Lysine-Proline-Valine) corresponding to the C-terminal fragment of alpha-melanocyte-stimulating hormone (α-MSH).
Mechanism of action. In research models, KPV is studied for anti-inflammatory activity, including modulation of NF-κB signaling and pro-inflammatory cytokine pathways, with interest in both systemic and intestinal-mucosa models.
